Last blog post (trip summary & California stretch)
Some knowledge and life lessons we learned from this journey that we thought would be worth sharing: On our last few days of this trip, one conversation we had together was to name something we had learned and taken away from these past 2+ months. 1) Trusting . Staying in complete strangers homes, city parks, cities we never heard of, took a lot of trust. And what we learned was that there are more people out there who are accepting, welcoming and trusting than those who are not. Having lived in highly populated fast paced cities, people can seem so closed off, and wrapped up in their own needs. If you give people the time of day and are genuinely more welcoming & trusting, they will reciprocate. You will meet so many more amazing people and experience their warm heart if you aren't initially judgmental and closed off.
