BOY OH BOY! Day 2. Providence, RI to New London, CT (73 mi)

It's 2:37am... just finished day 2. This ride was nuts.

72 miles is by far the longest ride I've done in my life, with the 41 miles (yesterday) coming in second. Very proud of us for finishing this ride today. It was a brutal one, but after powering through all the obstacles today threw at us, pretty confident we can make it through almost anything.

So much happened today I feel as if I can write a novel with all the material I got. But I'll only list a couple to keep it short...

Rain. Lots of it. All. Day. Long.
And when it rains.... it pours
Mom forgot her phone on a bridge a few miles back. So backtracked a bit to retrieve it LOL. Atleast it wasn't waterlogged or stolen.

(Waterbottle ran out, so I found a more cost efficient way to intake water)

Crossing the Rhode Island - Connecticut state border
GPS mishap = Lost at dusk turned nighttime. Carried our bikes on this gnarly deserted trail for 2 miles in the heart of one of the largest forests on the east coast.

Highlight of the day was definitely cruising through Rhode island's backcountry for a couple of hours. One of the most beautiful places I've ever seen, even in the rain.

Goooooodnight!

Huge thank yous to everyone who donated to this fundraiser already on the first day.  My mom and I get incredibly happy seeing each donation.
