Day 1. Boston, MA to Providence, RI (41 mi)

Our bike journey begins!!

 Last night we carbed up hard at an Italian restaurant in Boston with my good friend Alec and his girlfriend we got the chance to meet.

Now on to today... we somehow escaped the scheduled thunderstorms. Also did not expect to be biking at night this entire trip, but got off to a VERY late start today. Glad we brought lights ha!

First time using this rad cycling app called 'warm showers'. Pretty much people offer their spare couch, bedroom, or yard to camp in or crash at for the night for free. This awesome guy named Chris hosted us and even provided dinner. He's done quite a bit of bike touring and travelling himself, overall super amazing person. Looking forward to meeting more people like him throughout this journey.

Other than that the highlight of the day was either seeing massive New England Patriots stadium in a random suburb or seeing 4 deer prancing around in a foggy grass field at dusk. Such epic scenery all around.

Anyways, this futton is calling my name.... night
